EPALL VIII  - EDUCATION = Wings to Dreams
8th Annual El Paso Adult Learning and Literacy Conference

December 2, 2011

7:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

The Far West GREAT Center is requesting proposals for workshop sessions at the 8th Annual EPALL Conference.  Our theme this year is “Education = Wings to Dreams.”  The one-day conference will focus on all aspects of adult basic education and family literacy such as ESL, EL Civics, Even Start, ABE/GED strategies, Transitions, and workplace literacy.

Adult Education/Even Start Student strand: We are offering a special strand for adult students/parents in this year’s EPALL Conference. We welcome sessions on parenting skills, learning strategies, soft job skills (networking, resume writing, job search, interviewing, stress management, etc), test taking strategies, exploring careers, technical training and/or college degrees, and other related areas. We really encourage you to submit proposal(s) for presentation(s) that will be of interest to our adult education students (and/or teachers as well).

Guidelines:

  • Your proposal will be selected based on the information provided on the application. You will be notified about the conference committee's decision by no later than September 30, 2011.
